I wasn’t born into wealth, but I knew from an early age that I wanted to build my empire. So, when I was 18, I bought my first piece of real estate—a fix and flip job that I spent my nights and weekends working on with a partner. I sold that property and made $30,000 that I then rolled into new investments.

I was working full time making a comfortable salary, and I had invested early in internet stocks… just before the dot com crash. I was able to stay afloat by launching an eCommerce business, and then I flipped everything into real estate. I had bankrolled from $0 to $20 million in real estate within the span of about a decade. That was right around the housing market crash of 2008, and I lost it all. In fact, I wasn’t just broke, I was millions in the hole.

One day I was retired at 30, happily married, and living the dream. Then, I was millions of dollars in the red. I was devastated, but I knew I had to dust myself off and start over—in my younger days I had been an athlete participating in action sports, so I’d broken every bone in my body before; this was just another one of those times I had to get back up and keep at it. So, I rebuilt. I was good at making money, but something was missing.
How could I have accumulated so much wealth only to have it suddenly wiped out by a shift in the market? Even more importantly, where did it go? That’s when I learned the key concept that changed everything for me. Money is like energy; it doesn’t disappear, it just transfers. So, when I lost all my money, someone else got it, and that didn’t sit well with me. That got me studying wealth transfers, and I learned that there are different cycles and events that cause wealth to shift. If you can spot them and position yourself well, money flows to you.

Now, I had developed a better system, not only for investing, but also preserving wealth. People wanted to know what I was doing, so I launched a financial newsletter and started sharing my advice. Around this time, I was heavily focused on cryptocurrency, but I realized that many of my subscribers were accumulating wealth through crypto only to lose money the same way I did in 2008. The investment strategy was different, but the outcome was still the same.

I hated to see others losing their wealth the same way I had, so I pivoted and launched a broader scope of products with Market Disruptors to prevent people from making those same mistakes that limit their financial sovereignty and threaten not just their wealth, but their freedom. Today, I want to help as many people as possible avoid the pitfalls of conventional financial wisdom and forge their own path with alternative strategies that position them to accumulate wealth at the right times AND protect their assets.
